A big thank you to all our patients who participated in our “My Mom’s a GEM because…” contest. It’s wonderful to see how much moms mean to all of us. It was a tough choice to make, but the winners of some great Lia Sophia jewelry were: Nancy B. & Jolene H. Our runners up were: Jaimina, Candace, & Kari
Winning entries:
Allison’s about her mom Nancy My mom is a gem in so many ways. She does everything for me. She gives up her time for me. She knows how to make me feel better when I’m sick. She knows how to make me smile when nobody else can. She can do anything she puts her mind to and she won’t take no for an answer. Can’t is not in her vocabulary. She is my best friend and I don’t know how I would live or be where I am today without her. One day I hope I can give my children what she gives me everyday.
Katie’s entry on her mom Jolene My mom is my hero! She’s one of the millions fighting the dreaded cancer and has been for almost 5 yrs now. She’s been very strong through it all. She even coached my softball team while going through rough sessions of chemo. I think of her as the woman Craig Morgan sings about in his song “Tough.” She may be bald and sometimes grouchy, but she never makes me feel like I should be suffering too. It can be sooo hard sometimes, but these little things she does for us and vice versa, make it a bit easier.
Runner’s up (who also won jewelry from Lia Sophia!)
Miti’s entry about her mom Jaimina My mom’s a gem because she is a Magnanimous Outstanding Mother. She is Graceful, Excellent, and Marvelous. She always carries the traits of a gem. My mom is a dazzling, gorgeous, and precious person. She does a lot for me and my brother. My mom puts our happiness ahead of hers. I want to show her how much I care for her by having her win this contest for her happiness.
Sydney’s entry on her mom Candace My mom’s a gem because she’s beautiful inside and out. She’s an inspiration to people around her. She’s a kind, thoughtful, caring, person. She cares about the environment too. She recycles, she also picks up trash on the ground and everyday she reminds me of just one thing, no matter how many mistake you make, don’t regret them-they’ll teach you a very important life lesson.
Grant’s entry on his mom Kari My mother brightens up my day because she has always been beside me since day one. She is always looking out for me and doing what’s best for me. She works hours on end for my whole family. I know she would like to spend more time with me but she is doing what’s best for our family. She is always there for me when I need her and loves me no matter any circumstances.
